Amazing -
How different we are .... Kendra posts a beautiful thing about donating to a child with a disease as 'her' Birthday present ... To think of someone else like that, while so young in age ...Very , very , sweet and touching ...
And then you have me - paralyzed for a month , unable to do the simplest tasks with sleep the only answer ... My highlight was getting a bird feeder for outside my bedroom window to bring more beauty into my world ... not leave my room and find anything beautiful , just to bring it closer to my room ... But i have seen some cool birds though !! Lol ...
Ok - drive home safe Ma ...

Kendra is very compassionate. She sent me the links to the Progeria website along with her request for a donation earlier this week and I think it is an amazing gesture.
Here is part of her e-mail:
...Mickey is one of the reasons why I wanted to donate in the first place. He had an amazing outlook on his young life and I wish that more people thought and looked at the world like he did.
If you could do this for me it would honestly make my day and a lot of other people's days as well.
Love, Kendra
I wish more people looked at the world like Kendra does and would try to help others. I'll be sending my donation before her birthday...just like she asked. I hope it makes her day - she deserves it.
John, Sorry to hear you're not doing well...can I do anything to help? I'm sure watching the birds has been comforting. It's one of my favorite pass times.
Love, Aunt Debb
I don't know where to start...Kendra, that is absolutely beautiful. Thank you for including all of us in your quest. I, for one, will take some time to read more about Progeria and certainly will help with a "birthday gift" in your name.
John, the new picture IS beautiful. I love seeing so many new "posts" too. Are you feeling better? I know, we are all looking forward to the warmth of Spring...esp after a wicked cold day yesterday. I'm starting back from Rochester mid afternoon.
Talk to you when I get home. Love, Mom
