Well thanks Jude -
A question for me , 'what am i doing now' ....
Feeling less pressure - i liked 24 days much more than 36. With 24 days , I could punch my brains out and then its over .... with 36 days - it can kill you if you don't scratch out some winners from the start. I used my own money the first day , about four weeks later , and again closing week. Just kept churning tickets and endured another season. My best season in a few years. The issue with my 'picnic table' was settled in the 5th week. The people who caused all the distention finally moved elsewhere. I was able to return to the table for the last week, but the damage was done. I watched more races from home than at the track. I never felt comfortable at the track. My whole system was in disarray. My gambling partner was now a Saturday and Sunday guy only. Chuck has turned into a 4 Saturdays a year person sinnce he's been married. I couldn't get comfortable by myself. Plus if i lost 3 races in a row i would just go home - i was by myself anyway. So i will be happy to go back to golfing and putting in some bets and watching on Tv - just like normal ...
With some winnings - I got some pictures framed. One was a autographed picture of The Preakness May 15,1989 - one of the greatest stretch battles ever between Easy Goer and Sunday Silence. Both jockeys signed it - a head on shot at the wire. I also got a Mineshaft picture that Mom had given me for Christmas re-done. I broke the glass and frame during the move. Today i just dropped off a print of Rachel Alexandra prancing that is amazing to be matted and framed.
I gave Jack a bath outside for the first time. Normally I would give dogs a bath in the tub - but there is no extended shower fixture. So we grabbed the shampoo and went outside. He was a champ, he ran like the wind after getting rinsed off , but he feels better. He loves it here. He wanders thru the backyard into the woods. The is a stream there, he just jumps right in to get across to the other side.
I had the hiccups for 5 days. Since last Saturday till this morning before they went away for good. I wanted to play in traffic by today so they would just stop.
I've actually been dating someone since the season started. We went to high school together. Nothing serious really , just nice to enjoy somebodies company once in a while.
Now that every things calmed down i can do the bathroom here - it needs a refreshing.
I also played 18 holes Saturday for the first time in 8 weeks. I was waiting for Chuck to bust my chops after i put my clubs by the 10th tee ... After we tee off Chuck says - "so ya know- there is a creek down there before the green". I laughed my ass off. My mind hasn't allowed me to play more than 9 holes in a long time. We played 18 again on Sunday and 9 on Monday , my back was tired. I actually was enjoying hitting some shots rather than get overly flustered.
Other tha that .....

First, Jude, thank you for asking the question....I would check almost everyday to see if we've had any updates. I figured John, that you probably had very little, if any, free time during track season. But boy do I miss your commentary! There are so many times you make us laugh our ass off with your way with words. Thank you for that!!
Sounds like all is well in your world....when you do your laundry or any other time of your choice, let's go to Shanghi Grille..my treat this time. Love, Mom
Happy Birthday and lots of love to Ellen today. A double-digit day, I believe.
