A Dzingle alert !!

Ashley said... Hey everyone!

This is such a great idea! It's been so long since I've talked to or even seen many of you... what an awesome way to keep in touch! I love hearing what you're all up to, sounds like everyone is doing great.
I'll post a link to the website where I post my work (I'm currently a Photogrpahy Major here in Albany). I also just started a new blog and will post that link as well!
Thanks to John for coming up with this, I'm glad we'll all be able to keep in touch so easily now! :-)

Love to everyone!
Ashley

Wow, a wine maker! What a great gift. Toni and I may just have to venture to Texas to try the white zin. Any plans to make red wine also?

Aunt Ginny -- where are you going in Mexico? Good for you with the exercise!

We are settling in to our new house here on the campus. So grateful to have more space - 2BR, 1.5 bath, cute sitting area, livingroom/dining room, kitchen, and attached garage.

We moved over my birthday weekend so there are still plenty of boxes in the garage but thank goodness we have the garage so now tripping over boxes in the house!

love,
Kim

PS. I emailed Kristi and Larry the link to this blog so hopefully they'll sign up.

Hello John. This is great. Things are good in Texas. Not sure how to post an original post.

Uncle Bruce still loves to ride his Harley.

Amanda is up in College Station - hopes to be teaching in that area (7th or 8th grade Science)

I have been under the weather lately, but on the road to recovery. Medicine I was taking caused lots of stomach and esophagus problems.

Ryan also lives in California. He moved to Sunnyvale (south of San Francisco) in September 2007. He is less than an hour away from Kim and Toni. This is my first post ... did I do it right?

John --> Perfect ! If you want to start a post, just leave it on "Post Central' post - i will c&p then erase the "Post Central" post and now your comment will be its own post.

What's Ryan doing for a living in Sunnyvale ? Did he move out there by himself ?

Mom said... Thanks, John, for creating "blog central" for us. We sure do have many in your generation that have created their own blogs; it will be nice to dance from one to the other on "Standinonthemoon" site.

I look forward to hearing all about who's doing what in the far reaches of CA, Buffalo, Rochester, Texas, Florida, Ballston Lake, and Altamont.

Belated Happy Birthday wishes, Kim!

Congratulations, Matt and Ali! The twins are beautiful. Tell us when you are making a trip to Nana's in Pittsford

I had this idea ...

I had this idea -

I was talking with Mom and she was sharing stories about different extended family members. So I had this idea of creating a 'blog central' for her to keep up with family, extended family, and friends.

I have a blog and a website which is mostly about Thoroughbred Horse Racing. That's my passion ever since Poppy took us as kids. I do rant about other things, so its interesting in many other ways too.

This 'blog central' is also a good idea because I haven't spoken to many of my extended family in many years. I do remember drinking bad draft beer at Grandma's on the mountain in East Berne which might be the last time some of you have seen me. I was probably 10-12 years old and Little Larry and I would sneak draft beers from the barn.

Don't feel bad we haven't stayed in touch, I'm a recluse, I enjoy what I want when I want , and spend lots of time with my dog Jackson and that's about it. This is probably the only way many people will get to know me or understand my personality since 'different' doesn't scratch the surface!! I also golf 75 - 100 rounds a year. Golf is my other passion. My handicap has been as low as 4.5, but currently sits at 8.4 after enduring a few years a back issues.

So here is the plan -

If you have a blog or myspace page - post it in a comment and I will put it on The Blog List for everyone to follow.

If you don't have a blog, sign in as a follower.

We will use 'Standin on the Moon' as our Blog Homepage. As soon as you get me the info- I will update the blog.

When you leave a comment , place your 'last name chain' in the label box. For example, mine would be Mooney, Mitchell , Scavuzzo. That way I can keep and post folders of who fits in the family where. If your someone's friend, just put their last name in the label box.

OK boys and girl , pass this to your family members and friends you want to connect and keep updated. I'll keep stirring the pot, just add your own ingredients !!
