Well, it's August in Saratoga (second weekend in fact) and boy is it beautiful! The weather the past few days has been delightful for man and horse..in the 70's. Doesn't sound like August but we'll take it. The flowers and the lawns are lush. The Inn is booked pretty solid; lots of checkins and checkouts as folks tend to stay only a few days at a time. Not like me who used to go to the Cape for 3-4 weeks in August. I miss the Cape. I've been getting some "on the water" time at Saratoga Lake; it's not the same but it'll do....it'll have to do. Hope y'all are enjoying your summer too.

I'm with you Aunt Ginny about the Cape. Last summer was such a whirlwind with moving to Cali and it was all so new I didn't miss our annual vacation at the Cape. This year however was much different... Twinges of sadness and loss about not being there in July like we had for 18 years. I trying to see how we can fit it in next spring/summer when we come to the East Coast! There is nothing like the Cape...
